SAN JOSE , Calif., Mar. 6, 2000 --Cisco Systems, Inc., the leader in networking for the Internet, today announced the availability of CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager 2.0, providing customers with enhanced voice management capabilities for next-generation converged networks. Inclusion in the CiscoWorks2000 family now gives customers a single, comprehensive management solution for today's sophisticated network environments.

CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager 2.0 supports Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice, Video, and Integrated Data) by working across a variety of multiservice Cisco platforms. By expanding platform support, users can more easily manage a variety of voice port and dial plan configurations and provisionings. Customers can now deploy and manage voice over IP (VoIP), voice over Frame Relay (VoFR), and voice over ATM (VoATM) networks in a cost effective and efficient manner.

"As enterprise networks evolve to deploy and support voice traffic, having a scalable network management solution is crucial," said Sebastian Andreatta, senior product manager at Cisco Systems. "With CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager, enterprise customers have an easy to use application that supports rapid and efficient voice network deployment. From a Web browser, users can manage multiple combinations of voice-enabled Cisco routers and provides a single point of management for the enterprise."

In addition to the various management capabilities, CiscoWorks 2000 Voice Manager also includes a powerful reporting tool. In conjunction with Telemate.Net, a leading developer of information management tools, users can track and analyze voice traffic data and create customized reports. Customers also have the option to import call data from other sources, such as PBXs, and integrate the information into a report.

CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager 2.0 manages the voice features of the Cisco 1700, 2600, and 3600 series, MC3810 multiservice access concentrator, AS5300 series universal access server, and 7200 and 7500 series routers.

As enterprise customers transition to converged network environments, deployment needs to be at minimal cost while maintaining optimal performance. CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager 2.0 gives customers the confidence to deploy a converged network and sustain competitive positioning.
