Cisco Canada Strengthens Commitment to Eastern Canada Announces Four Management Appointments in Montreal Office

TORONTO, ON - March 28, 2000 - Pierre-Paul Allard, general manager, Cisco Systems Canada Co., is pleased to announce a new team of industry experts in eastern Canada. Based out of Cisco's Montreal office, four appointments are being announced to broaden the company's eastern region management team across all lines of business, in order to continue to build upon Cisco's exceptional growth in Quebec and Atlantic Canada.

"In creating this new team, we blended the talents of a variety of Cisco employees to create a cohesive contingent of experts to work together to deliver differentiated services and best-of-breed Internet solutions."

Robert Desbiens has been promoted to Executive Advisor of Strategic Development, responsible of strategic planning, marketing and business development. Michel Houde, as Region Manager, will be responsible for leading his team's sales and support for Enterprise line of business activities for Cisco's four eastern region offices in Montreal, Quebec City, Moncton and Dartmouth. Gino Coutu, also promoted to Region Manager, will be responsible for directing a team of sales representatives and systems engineers focused on growing market share and revenue in the service provider market for Cisco Systems Canada in the eastern region. Sylvie Giguère, as Channel Sales Manager, is responsible for Cisco's reseller and distributor channels in Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
