Broadband Wireless Communications Initiates Relationship With Cisco Systems For Fault-Tolerant Broadband Services Throughout Mid - and Southwest U.S.

Oklahoma City, OK - March 21, 2000 -- BroadBand Wireless Communications (OTC BB: BBAN), today announced that it has become a newly certified member of the Cisco Powered Network program.

Broadband Wireless is also is teaming up with Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO), the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, to offer, under the program, a scaleable carrier-class network using Cisco's Vector Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (VOFDM) broadband wireless technology and BPXd 8680-IP IP+ATM multiservice switches for business and residential customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Broadband Wireless International, and its joint venture partner, Broadband Wireless Communications, will utilize Cisco broadband wireless and IP+ATM technology in their carrier-class, Cisco-based infrastructure to provide broadband wireless connectivity, traditional dedicated circuit, dial access and DSL services. Further, BBAN will offer its customers New World services such as unified messaging, streaming video, content services and IP telephony using its Cisco network.

Cisco's MPLS implementation unites industry-leading IOS " IP capabilities with carrier-class ATM. In addition, by deploying Cisco s VOFDM solutions, Broadband Wireless can offer broadband wireless access in obstructed line-of-sight conditions, which greatly increases capacity and customer penetration.

Broadband Wireless participation in the Cisco Powered Network program demonstrates its ability to provide industry-leading technology solutions and services that are based on Cisco solutions.
