Moone to Run Cisco Consumer Line of Business

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 29, 2000 -- Cisco Systems, Inc., announced today the promotion of Mike Moone to group vice president, Consumer Line of Business.

"We are very fortunate to have someone of Mike's caliber leading Cisco's consumer strategy to accelerate the delivery of broadband technology to the home. Mike brings 30 years of general management experience along with a wealth of consumer and entrepreneurial experience to a new and challenging market for Cisco," said Don Listwin, executive vice president.

Moone joined Cisco through the acquisition of V-Bits, Inc. where he was president and CEO. In his most recent role at Cisco, Mike provided leadership to the V-Bits team to ensure the successful integration within the Cable Products and Solutions Group in the Service Provider Line of Business. Prior to V-Bits, Moone was president at Faroudja Laboratories, HealthRider, and Atari, and held executive management positions at Milton Bradley Co. and Mattel Inc.

In his new position, Moone will be responsible for managing product development, engineering, marketing and delivering Cisco's vision to bring broadband technologies to consumers through an ecosystem of partners.
