December 3, 1999WHAT: Cisco Systems and student participants of Cisco Networking Academies will manage, maintain and operate the network at the heart of Planetfest '99. The Cisco Networking Academy students from areas surrounding Pasadena will be helping with the delivery of a streaming video Webcast from the Mars Polar Lander arriving on the Red Planet all broadcast live via the Internet.
Cisco has also been designated a primary sponsor of the Discovery Symposium which will include presentations by scientists, engineers, astronauts, and others involved in space exploration.
WHEN: Beginning on December 3, 1999, Planetfest '99 will be a three-day international conference and exhibit sponsored by the Planetary Society celebrating a milestone in international planetary exploration.
WHERE: Pasadena Center in Pasadena, California
