(NASDAQ: CSCO), the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, today announced that PSINet Inc. has expanded its participation in the Cisco Powered Network program to include full-time, maximum-performance dedicated and shared network Internet access services. PSINet's business-grade wireless access service was certified earlier this year.
The two companies are teaming to offer reliable, secure and high-performance dedicated Internet access services. The relationship highlights the focus of both companies in using intelligent broadband IP networking to deliver the industry's leading network-based applications to corporate and government customers.
Under the Cisco Powered Network Program, PSINet will include in its full service offerings to commercial end users dedicated, shared, and wireless access services based on the market-leading Cisco 12000 series Gigabit Switch Router (GSR). PSINet's participation in the Cisco Powered Network program demonstrates its ability and commitment to provide superior Internet services, reliability, and innovation to its customers.
