COLOGNE, Germany -- June 22, 1999 -- German Internet service provider, NetCologne, and Cisco Systems today announced they are combining efforts to offer Internet access to business customers & consumers in Germany.
Using a Cisco Powered Network, NetCologne will offer customers reliable, secure and high-performance Internet services including web hosting, dial and DSL access, voice (ATM, cable, data integration), network management and security services. The relationship highlights NetCologne's and Cisco's focus on using intelligent broadband Internet Protocol (IP) networking to deliver enhanced connectivity and network-based applications.

To achieve these solutions, NetCologne will deploy a range of Cisco routers (1000 & 2500) along with the AS5200 and AS5300 for Dial Access and the LS1010 ATM switch.
