CHICAGO, Ill, National Cable Television Association -- June 14, 1999 -- Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO), the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet announced today that High Speed Access Corp. (NASDAQ: HSAC), a leading provider of high-speed Internet access via cable modems to exurban markets (cable systems with fewer than 100,000 homes passed), will offer New World services over a Cisco Powered Network to both the global cable industry and to home users with cable modem service.

By choosing to build HSAC high-speed Internet access on a Cisco-powered infrastructure which includes Data-over-Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS)-based Cisco Universal Broadband Routers (uBR) and Cisco AS5300s for use in the HSAC Dial ISP services, their customers receive all the benefits of end-to-end networking.
