Cisco Selects ORCONET.com for its Cisco Powered Network program



ORANGE, Calif. -- June 2, 1999 -- Cisco Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, and ORCONET.com today announced that they are teaming to deliver a multitude of high-end, high-speed Internet access services to businesses and residents throughout California and Washington.

ORCONET.com's dedicated Internet access, Frame Relay and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) services will be provisioned over a Cisco Powered Network. ORCONET.com has selected the Cisco 12000 series Gigabit Switch Routers (GSRs), Cisco Catalyst 5000 series switches and other Cisco technologies to bring their leading services to market. As a Cisco Powered Network program member, ORCONET.com will provide services predominantly based on Cisco solutions, and will participate in joint marketing, technology sharing and selling activities with Cisco.

ORCONET.com's network, designed on a self-healing, diverse route, Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) backbone, provides a variety of solutions throughout Seattle, Wash., and Orange County, San Diego and San Jose, Calif. Services include co-location centers, Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL)/ATM Anywhere, dedicated point-to-point connectivity, including DS-3 and T-1, and value-added reseller programs.
