AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - May 5, 1999 - SpeedPort and Cisco Systems, Inc. today announced that they are combining efforts to offer co-location and IP value added services such as IP transit and Virtual private networks (VPN'S).
With a Cisco Powered Network, SpeedPort offers customers reliable, secure and high-performance Internet services. The relationship highlights SpeedPort's and Cisco's focus on using intelligent broadband IP networking to deliver enhanced connectivity and network-based applications.

SpeedPort will deploy Cisco's Gigabit Switch Router 1200 & the VXR voice enabled 7200 series router in their network infrastructure.
