John Chambers, president and CEO of Cisco Systems, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, will deliver a keynote address at GTC West '99 at the Sacramento Convention Center. He will speak to the largest conference for state and local government technology managers about "The New Economy is the Internet Economy." He will address how Internet solutions can help the public sector meet the challenges of the new millennium and beyond. Chambers will deliver his keynote on Thursday, May 13th at 8:30 AM in the Memorial Auditorium.As well, Cisco will be announcing the appointment of Mark Boyer, former Commissioner of the Department of Administration for Alaska. Boyer will join Cisco's Internet Business Solutions Group and help Cisco's public sector customers deploy Internet business solutions.
