Gary Daichendt to meet TP SA Board of Directors on Tuesday, February 9th in Warsaw, Poland
WARSAW, Poland -- February 9, 1999 -- Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. (TP S.A.), Polish national tecommunication operator and Cisco Systems, the worldwide leader in networking and modern Internet and telecommunication technologies expressed their will to cooperate to support the development the Internet economy and information society in Poland.
This message has been passed during the TP S.A. and Cisco Systems meeting that took place on February 9, 1999 in the Sheraton hotel, Warsaw, Poland. Gary Daichendt, executive vice-president, Worldwide Operations of Cisco Systems, and Tomasz Tywonek, executive board member of TP S.A. were present at this meeting.
TP S.A. is willing to start an educational campaign in order to promote the modern Internet solutions being in use of the information society worldwide, using Cisco Systems' experience in this matter.
Cisco Systems will support TP S.A. by:
- business consulting on new services deployment, including Internet services
- trainings, technical consulting and dedicated seminars on new systems design
TP S.A. declared its interest in implementing new services based on telecommunication technologies developed by market leaders, like Cisco Systems, especially packet telecommunication: IP, ATM, IP over ATM, IP over SDH, IP over WDM and other.
Both parties have agreed to intensify cooperation by:
- mutual visits and consulting in Cisco Executive Briefing Center in San Jose, and TP S.A. headquarters in Warsaw
- participation of TP S.A. representatives in seminars and conferences organized by Cisco in Poland and abroad
