Cisco Powered Network Delivers Advanced Networking Services to Customers in Switzerland
GLATTZENTRUM, Switzerland -- July 13, 1998 -- Swisscom and Cisco Systems, Inc. today announced an alliance that will deliver IP/VPN services to business customers in Switzerland and international markets.
The two companies will also cooperate in new service development initiatives, joint sales and marketing programs and technology/product updates and training.
Swisscom and Cisco will work together on the development of LAN-switching services, electronic fulfillment applications to support business management processes, as well as the creation of various Swisscom service packages and product bundles for the Blue Window, LAN-Interconnect and other services.
Utilizing a Cisco Powered Network, Swisscom offers customers reliable, secure and high-performance Internet services. The relationship highlights Swisscom and Cisco's focuses on using intelligent broadband IP networking to deliver enhanced connectivity and network-based applications.
