LONDON, -- July 14, 1998 -- Cisco Systems, Inc. today announced that it is combining efforts with NTL, a leading UK telecommunications company, to offer Frame Relay, ATM and LAN interconnect services to business customers in the United Kingdom.

With a Cisco Powered Network, NTL offers customers reliable, secure and high-performance Internet services. The relationship highlights NTL's and Cisco's focus on using intelligent broadband IP networking to deliver enhanced connectivity and network-based applications.

"We are always looking to offer both existing and potential customers the best networking services in the marketplace and this is why we think it is important for us to offer Cisco Powered Network service," said David Doherty, business operations director at NTL. "The CPN program will allow us to combine Cisco's industry-leading technology with our extensive network to provide services that are effective for our customers."

In the Cisco Powered Network Program, NTL will provide services based predominantly on Cisco equipment and software.
