INTEL, CISCO, ANALOG DEVICES AND AWARE SPONSOR TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATIONS OF SPLITTERLESS-DMT TECHNOLOGY AT SUPERCOMM

Demonstrations Include High-speed, Internet Access Consumer Applications

  • WHAT: Intel Architecture Labs, Cisco Systems, Analog Devices and Aware are sponsoring technology demonstrations of DSL high-speed, Internet-access applications for consumers using splitterless, Discrete Multitone (DMT) chip technology. The applications include Living Room Internet Access, Den Video Conferencing and Exercycle Web Surfing.

    The splitterless DMT-lite technology is based on the direction of the Universal ADSL Working Group (UAWG). The UAWGms purpose is to submit a proposal for standards adoption by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) for driving mass-market DSL consumer applications.
