SAN JOSE, Calif. -- March 30, 1998 -- Cisco Systems, Inc. and Fujitsu Limited today announced the joint development of network management software. CiscoWorks for Switched Internetworks (CWSI) and Cisco Resource Mananger (CRM) are now integrated with Fujitsu's MpWalker/DM V3.0.

The MpWalker/CWSI/CRM bundle is the first product resulting from the global systems integration agreement between Cisco and Fujitsu announced in January 1998. The integrated product combines Fujitsu's MpWalker systems and network management software and Cisco's CWSI and CRM network management software. CWSI and CRM can now be activated through icons displayed on the MpWalker console. This feature reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO) of distributed systems that include Cisco products.

"In order to provide customers with optimum solutions, Cisco and Fujitsu will continue to integrate their operation management and network management software products based on standard Internet technology," said Bill Ahlstrom, director of marketing for Cisco's Network Management Business Unit.
