REDWOOD CITY, California -- January 7, 1998 -- GeoNet Communications, Inc., a leading Internet service provider in California, today announced that it is working with Cisco Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, to offer advanced, end-to-end networking solutions.

GeoNet operates a Cisco-powered national backbone network that supports Internet-centric enterprises in California and Nevada with high-speed Internet access, Web hosting and co-location services. Because of its focus on using intelligent broadband IP networking to deliver enhanced connectivity and network-based applications to customers, GeoNet has qualified for the Cisco Powered Network program. This program recognizes an elite group of service providers around the world that meet a stringent set of criteria established by Cisco Systems.
