SAN JOSE, Calif. -- January 19, 1998 -- Fujitsu Limited and Cisco Systems, Inc. today announced that the two companies have signed a Global Systems Integrator Agreement.
Under the agreement, the Fujitsu group will compliment Fujitsu's own networking solutions by selling and supporting Cisco products worldwide, including Asia, Europe, Oceania and North America. The two companies also will cooperate to provide optimum end-to-end solutions to the market, focusing on the rapidly expanding worldwide demand for network computing.
Fujitsu and Cisco also agreed to cooperate in securing interoperability between both companies' network management software. And they will investigate directions for future collaboration, including closer links between products; cooperation in networking and multimedia technology; the expansion of networked computing; and the formulation of standards.
