cCisco Universal Access Servers Offers Reliable, High-Performance Remote Access
SAN JOSE, Calif. - November 3, 1997 - Cisco Systems, Inc. today announced another planneddeployment of the company's dial access platforms, the Cisco AS5200 family of universal accessservers. CompuServe Network Services, recently rated the best-performing Internet backbone inan independent survey, selected Cisco universal access servers as part of its next-generationdial infrastructure.
Under a multimillion dollar deal, CompuServe Network Services will deploy AS5200 universalaccess servers at points of presence (POPs) nationwide. The new additions will ensure the company's high speed dial access rollout strategy, supporting 56 Kbps modem technology and ISDN services in major metropolitan areas.
Selection Criteria: Best-of-Breed Scalability and Investment Protection
