REDWOOD CITY, Calif., August 5, 1997 -- @Work, the business focused division of @Home Network(NASDAQ: ATHM), and Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO) today announced that the two companiesare teaming to offer reliable, secure and high-performance Internet services. The relationshiphighlights @Work and Cisco's focus on leveraging intelligent broadband IP networking to deliverenhanced connectivity and network based applications to corporate America.

@Work leverage's the @Home Network and its Cisco components to provide premium Internet accessand services, such as Web Hosting and Network Security, to businesses and organizationsnationwide. In addition, @Work will compliment Internet access with applications that leverage@Home's distributed server architecture. Examples of categories and applications expected tobe addressed include Virtual Private Networks that securely connect distance workers tocorporate LANs at high speeds and Intranet Broadcasting to facilitate internal businesscommunications including interactive network-based training delivered through desktop PCs.
