Cisco's Networked Multimedia Connection Lab, based at Cisco's headquarters, will be connected onthe Jazz ATM network. Founded in conjunction with Microsoft and Intel, Cisco's lab exploresapplications that provide video, audio and multimedia over the Internet.
Cisco and Jazz will mutually share information on the strategic orientation of actual andin-development products, allowing the two companies to better understand the needs of the mediaproduction industry. More specifically, Cisco will assist in the architectural definition,design validation and configuration of the Jazz network. Jazz Media Network is providing Ciscowith its experience with both software application and broadband services targeting thecontent-creation sector.
