SAN JOSE, Calif. June 25, 1996 -Cisco Systems,Inc. today announcedthat it has signed a Letter of Intent selecting COMSTOR as a distributionchannel for Cisco U.S. federal government resellers. COMSTOR, ofChantilly, Va., will supply federal government resellers with Ciscoenterprise internetworking products, reseller support, order processing andorder fulfillment services. COMSTOR will also qualify new resellers tosell Cisco products in the U.S. federal marketplace.
"This Letter of Intent with COMSTOR is part of Cisco's continued effort todeliver end-to-end internetworking solutions to our U.S. federalcustomers," said Jim Massa, director of U.S. federal operations for CiscoSystems. To support Cisco U.S. federal resellers, COMSTOR has established adedicated staff to provide marketing, sales and technical support,including specific reseller services such as configuration assistance andverification. COMSTOR will also provide bid response, order processing andpost-sales services. COMSTOR plans to provide order processing servicesimmediately.
