Cisco Achieves Global ISO 9001 Certification

SAN JOSE, Calif., -- July 24, 1995 -- Cisco Systems is the first majorsupplier of internetworking products to be awarded global ISO 9001certification, an internationally recognized endorsement for qualitymanagement standards.

This certification provides assurance to Cisco's global customer base thatthe processes involved in the design and development; the manufacture; andservice and support of Cisco products adhere to the ISO 9001 qualitymanagement standard which is the most stringent and comprehensive of theISO 9000 series of quality management standards.

BVQI is an independent third-party registrar accredited in 13 countriesworldwide. The global ISO 9001 certification, awarded in July, 1995 isvalid for three years subject to periodic auditing by the third-partyregistrar. In November 1993 ,Cisco was awarded full ISO 9001 certificationby BVQI for quality management and quality assurance in the U.S.
