Cisco and Ericsson Form Strategic Alliance With Signing of Worldwide OEM Agreement

MENLO PARK, Calif., March 22, 1993 -- Cisco Systems today announced that it has entered into a worldwide marketingagreement with Ericsson, one of the world's leadingtelecommunications suppliers, wherein Ericsson will resellCisco's complete line of internetworking routers, including theCisco AGS+, IGS, 3000, 4000, and 7000, as well as other Ciscointernetworking products and software.

This agreement significantly expands the existingrelationship between the two companies by allowing Ericsson tosell Cisco products directly to end users in a number ofstrategic countries around the world. Previously, Ericsson wasreselling Cisco routers only in conjunction with sales ofEricsson's Telecommunications Management and OperationsSupport (TMOS) systems.
