Karen Crocker Snell

Karen Crocker Snell is the former digital content lead for Cisco's Corporate Communications Social Media Team. In this role she lead visual storytelling and social media innovation efforts with the goal of sharing Cisco's many stories. In November 2013, Karen's work was recognized by PR News for Best Podcast-Videocast for the documentary-style video series "My Networked Life: True Stories from a Connected World."

In 2011, Karen worked with a small team to redefine, redesign and reinvent Cisco's corporate newsroom, by bringing on named journalists and expanding the social capabilities of the news site. The rebranded, award-winning site, The Network: Cisco's Technology News Site, is recognized as a leader in brand journalism.

Karen's work on the video series "Social Spoken" was recognized by the Webby Awards as an Official Honoree. The award led to an invitation to join the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS), where she is currently a voting member.

Prior to her career in corporate communications, Karen was a local television news reporter in Boston, Massachusetts where she covered everything from Presidential campaigns to Super Bowl playoffs. She was on the front lines of some of the largest news events in recent U.S. history.

Karen is a world traveler, mother of three, and holds a Master of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University.
