SVP, People & Communities

Christine is Cisco’s Senior Vice President of People & Communities leading a team responsible for designing and developing talent solutions that pave the way in demonstrating a new level of agility in how we shape employee and team experience, performance and outcomes. In this role, she partners across Cisco’s ecosystem to reimagine and create solutions, such as workforce scenario modeling, organizational development and design, workforce transitions and inclusive talent reviews, all anchored to business drivers and the tenets of a conscious culture. She also leads a team that consults on the effective execution of acquisitions and divestitures that achieve value-driven business and people outcomes.

At Cisco, she also led the consulting for high-functioning teams, leader success and adaptive change for the Engineering function with over 26,000 employees across 45 countries. In this role, she partnered with two EVPs/GMs to ensure Cisco’s talent strategies were developed, scaled and aligned to business outcomes. Christine’s been especially impactful in partnering with leaders to drive new ways to ensure Cisco attracts, retains and develops talent. She also successfully partnered with clients in Advanced Services, Finance and Emerging Technologies Business on a wide range of complex opportunities, including business incubation, acquisition integration, strategic planning, organization structure and portfolio alignment.

Prior to joining Cisco, Christine was Senior HR Partner at Genentech and Agilent Technologies where she supported clients in finance, tax, treasury, investor relations, corporate communications, marketing and workplace services.

Throughout her 20+ year career in HR, Christine has been valued for her expertise in high performance teaming, organizational design, talent development and executive coaching, as well as her passion for supporting and advocating for full-spectrum diversity.

She’s the Executive Advisor for Women of Cisco’s San Jose chapter, whose vision is to create a community with opportunities for women to network and develop. In recognition of Christine’s contributions as an executive in her field, she was honored with YWCA Silicon Valley’s Tribute to Women Award in 2019. In 2020, she was recognized by the National Diversity Council as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology. She serves on the Board of Directors at the Children’s Discovery Museum in San Jose, CA and is an active member of Global HR 50.

Christine graduated from California Polytechnic State University. She’s zealous about people, technology, and how she personally can contribute to do amazing things for our businesses, her community and our future. In her free time, she can be found enjoying time with her family, hiking, cooking up a fresh meal, or traveling.
