SVP and Chief Communications Officer

Stella is Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at Cisco. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Stella is responsible for leading strategic communications and promoting the overall reputation of Cisco with authentic, informative and creative storytelling and thought-leadership.

Passionate about leadership and developing world-class, highly motivated teams, Stella leads the Cisco Global Communications organization, which takes an integrated, multi-channel approach to campaigns and launches, delivering impactful storytelling to media, analysts, influencers, customers, and employees alike.

Prior to joining Cisco, Stella was Senior Vice President of Global Communications at Dell Technologies, and before that led Global Communications at EMC. Recognized as an expert in leading communications during times of change, crisis and sensitivity, Stella was instrumental in leading the award-winning communications strategy behind the largest technology merger in IT history – resulting in the launch Dell Technologies in 2016.

Stella has over 30 years of experience in marketing and communications.  Originally from the U.K., Stella has held many leadership roles where she focused on building global teams, amplifying brands and enhancing company reputations. She thrives on transforming communication organizations, and is proven in creating worldwide campaigns that engage audiences and deliver results that support business objectives. She also spent four years running her own business, and considers herself an entrepreneur at heart.

Active in her community, Stella a board member of the Bay Area Division of the American Heart Association and is passionate about heart health awareness and improving the cardiovascular health of the community.

Stella holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from London South Bank University in England and now lives in California with her husband, daughter, and three dogs.
