Brett Wingo is senior vice president of the Customer Experience (CX) Platforms Group. He is responsible for the development and delivery of the technology, processes and capabilities for seamless customer and partner engagements across the CX and Services portfolio.
Wingo is a trusted leader, known for using innovation to incubate and grow start-up technologies into large businesses, leading strategy and transformation, and using advanced analytics to improve customer experience and performance. He brings this leadership to his current team, which he has centered relentlessly on customer-focused, technology-enabled profitable growth through automation and enhanced customer experiences.
Prior to the formation of CX, Brett led Software Development and Operations for Cisco's $12B services business. Earlier at Cisco, Brett was General Manager of the multi-billion dollar Global Service Provider infrastructure businesses, including routing, cable and optical business units. In this role, he rebuilt the portfolio and introduced software-based management systems. From 2013-2015 Wingo led the Cable Access business unit, responsible for market-leading hardware and software solutions for broadband internet access, voice and video. He successfully transformed the strategy and organization to deliver next-generation products, double-digit growth and multiple points of market share improvement.
Wingo joined Cisco in 2008 and served as vice president and general manager for Cisco's Linksys and Home Networking Business Unit, where he modernized the portfolio and greatly improved profitability while holding end-to-end P&L responsibility for Cisco's Linksys division.
A 30-year veteran of the Silicon Valley technology industry, Wingo started his career with Apple, serving in global engineering, business and operations roles. He co-founded a network data storage company that was sold to Adaptec. Wingo also served on the senior executive team of the company that created the real-time location systems market. He was responsible for the business and operational transformation from a deep technology company to a profitable global solution provider that was successfully sold to Zebra Technologies.
Outside of Cisco, Wingo serves on several advisory boards at California Polytechnic State University and is an active volunteer, speaker, sports enthusiast and musician.
