Mala Anand is Senior Vice President for the Cisco Services Platforms Group. Anand is committed to software go-to-market execution, operational excellence, innovative approaches to solving business problems, and cross-functional partnering to promote market leadership for Cisco. She is responsible for Cisco's software-enabled smart services, big data and analytics, application integration solutions, application enablement platforms for the Internet of Everything, and industry solutions and products.
In her previous role as Vice President of the Cisco Services Product Group, Anand was responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of the software-enabled services portfolio. Her innovative approach to smart services, including smart interactions growth within social media and online modalities, helped Cisco exceed $1 billion in bookings and contributed to Cisco's services differentiation in the market.
Anand has over 20 years experience leading product and service strategy for large enterprise software companies. Her expertise includes strategy and execution in the areas of technology innovation, go-to-market, product line development, and cloud-based product and service strategy. She has served as COO and Senior Vice President for Informative, a company focusing on software-enabled business analytics. She was also entrepreneur in residence for the venture capital firm Kliener Perkins Caufield and Byers, and prior to that developed software products for Corosoft (BMC), Rapt (Microsoft) and Beyond, Inc. She has led enterprise software teams at Oracle and Digital Equipment Corporation focusing on software products and technology visions, go-to-market strategies, and the delivery of enterprise software and services. She also is the holder of multiple technology patents.
She holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from University of Massachusetts and a master's degree in computer science from Brown University.
