Puja Jaspal
SVP, People & Communities

Puja Jaspal, Senior Vice President, People & Communities, leads the talent strategy aligned to Cisco’s transformation in Engineering and Corporate Functions, representing 40,000+ employees and contractors globally.

In addition to shaping the evolution of our workforce, Jaspal drives inclusive leadership and teams at Cisco by facilitating talent development at all levels and enabling effective hybrid work strategies. She has served as a business advisor to the C-Suite and has deep expertise in transformation strategy, talent management, and risk mitigation. With a vision for building inclusive teams that accelerate innovation, Jaspal is known for being a transformation change agent, and holds more than 20 years of experience across B2C and B2B companies.

Prior to Cisco, during her five-year tenure as SVP, Global Talent and Global Technology HR at Visa, Jaspal worked closely with the Technology and HR Leadership Teams to grow leadership and management capabilities, reshape the Technology organization, and evolve Visa’s culture. Before joining Visa, she held several senior HR leadership roles at Google, including leading HR Business Partners for Product Management and the Chrome & Apps division.

Jaspal is committed to ensuring talent doesn’t fall through the cracks because of our own biases and blind spots. A believer in taking bold bets, she began her career in Engineering at General Electric before pivoting to Brand Management at Procter and Gamble. While there, she realized her passion for HR, inclusive teams, and desire to develop authentic, transformational business leaders.  

Jaspal serves on the HR advisory board for the SemperVirens Fund. She has been formally recognized within the industry, most recently as one of the Top 100 Women of Influence in the Bay Area.

Jaspal holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
