Jason Phillips is the Senior Vice President of People Experience at Cisco. He currently leads a complex set of delivery portfolios and platforms across the employee lifecycle, all designed to improve the overall worker experience. In his role, Jason is accountable for the @scale delivery of what are commonly referred to as traditional human resources processes, platforms, and solutions.
Jason previously served in multiple key Cisco leadership roles, including Vice President of HR Operations, Vice President of Talent Acquisition, and Vice President of Digital Operations & Chief of Staff to the Chief People Officer. In his last role, he was responsible for architecting the company’s human resources digital strategies in support of all core HR processes.
Prior to Cisco, Jason was the Senior Vice President of HR Shared Services at Kaiser Permanente. There, he oversaw all human resources delivery and the HR Service Center providing support to over 180,000 employees and 430,000 retirees. He also has worked in a variety of leadership roles across multiple consulting firms.
Jason has received numerous awards for his contributions as a leader in his field. Accolades include being named an HR Executive of the Year and Top 100 HR Technology Influencer.
His professional journey began as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Jason is known for his passion supporting veteran communities, serving on multiple advisory boards and volunteering to help transition veterans into meaningful employment.
Jason has his bachelor’s degree in government, master’s degree in management, and completed his doctoral studies in adult learning and human resources development.
