James Mobley leads Network Services in Cisco’s Enterprise Networking & Cloud group. In this role, James is responsible for enabling flexible consumption of Cisco technologies through a unified as-a-Service strategy. James and his team work across organizational boundaries to drive the transformation of technology, processes, and go-to-market models for delivering business outcomes tailored to address rapidly evolving customer needs. He is also focused on accelerating the integration of Cisco and acquired capabilities to further differentiate Cisco offers in the market.
Previously, James led major transformational initiatives for Cisco, including technology innovations for the Future of Work in the People and Communities team. He also launched the strategic initiative to transform Cisco’s Customer Experience (CX) portfolio from a transactional to a subscription services model while leading the CX Product Management organization. Prior to the creation of CX, James ran several strategic growth teams within Cisco Services, including Services Product Management for Cisco’s portfolio of architectures, the Emerging Technologies and Innovation team responsible for incubation of new offers, and Global Security, IoT, and Collaboration services.
James has a successful track record of leading high performing teams in early stage companies and global enterprises. He joined Cisco in January 2015 following the acquisition of Neohapsis, Inc. where he served as President and CEO. Neohapsis was a leading cyber security consultancy specializing in mobile, cloud, and compliance. Under his leadership, Neohapsis grew from a small Midwestern U.S. consultancy to become a global provider of high-end cyber security services.
Prior to Neohapsis, James was Symantec’s Vice President of Security Services. He joined Symantec in 2004 following the acquisition of @stake, Inc., a leading cyber security consulting and products company headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he served as President and CEO.
James's career journey includes time at IBM, Digital Equipment Corporation (HP), and Compaq Computer Corporation (HP), where he held leadership positions in product, sales, and services. He is a graduate of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
