Cliff Thomas

SVP and General Manager, Global Enterprise Segment, Americas

Cliff Thomas is Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Global Enterprise Segment, leading Cisco’s largest sales theater, responsible for more than 500 of the company’s top strategic global clients representing over $8 billion of annual revenue.

With a deep understanding of the business from all angles, Cliff is driven by innovation when it comes to elevating client and partner relationships. His ability to advise and direct clients to their strategic outcomes starts with courageous conversations and results-first thinking.

Prior to his current role, Cliff served as Vice President and General Manager for Cisco’s Global Enterprise Segment in the Eastern United States. He was responsible for a portfolio of $3 billion, leading a team of 500 professionals supporting 100+ global clients across several verticals.

He has 30+ years of experience in the industry, including management consulting and a successful venture in technology services. Throughout his 20+ year career at Cisco, Cliff has held several leadership positions for top-performing teams across the Global Enterprise Segment and Cisco’s Smart+ Connected Communities (S+CC) practice focusing on intelligent urbanization.

Cliff’s leadership style is defined by his aptitude for bringing others outside their comfort zones to achieve more than thought possible. He has a track record for cultivating high-performing teams, connecting extended businesses to maintain strong alignment for his clients, and creating an inclusive culture for all.

Cliff graduated from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland, with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a minor in Economics. He also completed additional engineering thesis work on Pneumatic Wave Energy Conversion at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, with a focus on sustainability. He lives in New York with his family.
