Eric Rabkin

Eric S. Rabkin is an expert on science fiction, fantasy, visual rhetoric and academic computing.  He has authored more than 30 books, mainly on popular culture and aesthetic perception, and he has lectured around the world on these topics and others such as academic administration, pedagogy and humor. 

Rabkin is Arthur F. Thurnau Professor, Professor of English Language and Literature, and Professor of Art and Design at the University of Michigan where he leads the Genre Evolution Project that studies culture as a complex adaptive system.
