Cisco Unified CMBE 3000 to Support Employment Process in North Caucasus Federal District of Russia
Cisco Technologies Help the Inter-Regional Resource Center to Optimize Operations of Employment Centers in Seven Regions of the Federation
MOSCOW – May 28, 2012 – Cisco today announced the first deployment of Cisco® Unified Communications Manager Business Edition (CMBE) 3000 IP telephony solution in Russia. The first organization to install the Cisco collaboration solution is the Inter-Regional Resource Center of the North Caucasus Federal District located in the city of Pyatigorsk. The center has chosen CMBE 3000 because of its broad functionality, ease of use and affordability. The project was implemented by Orbita, a Cisco Premier Certified Partner in Russia.
The telephone station can support up to 300 subscribers and up to 400 lines. It enables any employee to download an enterprise phone number to a personal mobile phone and receive incoming business calls beyond the office premises. Besides audio, soft phones can support video calls, which makes operations more productive.
Cisco Business Edition 3000 supports analog, IP and video phones; enterprise soft-phone clients (including Cisco Jabber® unified communications and multimedia applications); immediate messaging, collaboration and conferencing at Windows and Mac OS-based desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones. The system also provides integration with Cisco WebEx® cloud services. Connection to the new telephone station can be set by all types of trunks: analog, E1 and SIP. The solution includes voice menus and voice mail, interactive assistant software, and conferencing functionality (up to 24 participants).
Andrei Klimenko, director, Inter-Regional Resource Center:
"The broad functionality of Cisco Unified CMBE 3000 will help us to make communications between managers of our employment centers much more efficient while cutting long distance communications cost. In due course, on the basis of this solution we plan to set up a unified communications system embracing all employment centers of the North Caucasus Federal District. The simple user interface and administrative interface translated into Russian make it easy for any employee to operate the system."
Alexander Nemirov, system architect, Communications Systems, Orbita:
"We recommended Cisco Unified CMBE 3000 for installation in the Inter-Regional Resource Center, as we are sure that it meets all unified communications requirements of this agency and is ideal for customer support. The solution is optimal for setting up a unified communications system for the required number of users with minimal investment."
Irina Stepanova, regional director, Collaboration Technologies, Cisco, Russia, and CIS:
"Government agencies must always justify the investments. The broad functionality of Cisco Unified CMBE 3000 helps the Inter-Regional Resource Center to achieve this goal, as well as raise efficiency of its employees to a qualitatively new level."
