Social Spoken: Aneta Brodski on the Power of Video

Our first poet in our summer poetry series is Aneta Brodski. All of these original poems focus on the real life uses and impact of the network on our daily lives. We will publish a poem each Friday throughout the summer. We hope you have a great summer, and we hope that this series gives you a little entertainment and a little different way of learning about the power of the network in our lives.

Aneta Brodski was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and raised in Israel and New York City with her deaf family. She currently is a teacher at the Sign Language Center in Manhattan. She is a graduate of the Lexington School for the Deaf and is pursuing her International Criminal Justice degree at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Aneta's poem, "The Magic of Technology," tells the story of using video technology for deaf people to speak to others continents away.

The Network: Cisco's Technology News Site worked with Ironbound Films to produce a series of original poems written and performed by some of the best spoken word poets in the world. All performances were filmed at the famous Bowery Poetry Club in Manhattan.
