Michael Glickman, Senior Vice President for Cisco's Service Provider business in the Americas, leads Cisco's overall relationship, investment, architectural, and growth strategy for wireline, mobility, cable, emerging carriers, Web 2.0, media, and content providers.
Glickman plays a critical role in defining and leading Cisco's strategy for the service provider segment across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. He is responsible for aligning the collective resources of the company to deliver a transformational experience to customers in this strategic market, with billions of dollars in annual product and services revenue.
During Glickman's 13 years at Cisco, he has held a variety of leadership roles in service provider sales. Prior to his current role, he led the relationship with the U.S. telecommunications companies and wireline emerging providers, including managing overall customer relationships, core networks, customer-premises equipment, and services businesses.
Glickman's 24 years of experience in the technology marketplace include responsibilities in sales, marketing, and finance. He came to Cisco from Amdahl Corporation (Fujitsu America) where he was Vice President and General Manager for Northeastern Operations, with profit-and-loss responsibility for all operations in that region.
Outside of Cisco, Glickman is an Executive Director on the Board of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), and serves on the Board of Junior Achievement in New Jersey.
Glickman holds a master of business administration degree in finance from the University of Illinois.
