As Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco's Enterprise Networking Group, Rob Soderbery oversees the strategy, engineering, and marketing direction of Cisco's networking technology for the enterprise. His organization is responsible for the core technologies critical to business customers. Soderbery was previously Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco's Unified Access Business Unit, responsible for Cisco's Ethernet switching solution for the enterprise.
Prior to joining Cisco, he was a senior vice president and general manager at Symantec Corporation, where he led a $1 billion storage and availability management business that supplied key technologies to the enterprise data center. Soderbery joined Symantec through the company's merger with Veritas Software. At Veritas, he held a wide variety of executive roles, including vice president of product management and vice president of strategic alliances. Prior to Veritas, Soderbery was a serial entrepreneur in the semiconductor industry, where he was an early employee at one successful startup and founder of a second.
Soderbery holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from California Institute of Technology and a master of science degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
