Jim Sherriff serves as Chief of Staff for Rob Lloyd, President of Development and Sales. In this role he supports Lloyd in driving execution, customer-impacting innovation, and market expansion.
Prior to this role, Sherriff was Senior Vice President of Cisco's Americas Partner Organization. Through a team of nearly 800 employees and over 23,000 partners, Sherriff was responsible for partner enablement, partner profitability, and product and services growth with our partners in this important geographic region (United States, Canada, and Latin America).
Previous Cisco roles included Chairman and CEO of Cisco China, where Sherriff had responsibilities for developing and executing Cisco's overall business strategy in China, and Enterprise Segment Senior Vice President, with sales responsibility for 3200 of Cisco's largest enterprise customers in the United States. Under his leadership, Sherriff's team improved Cisco's overall customer experience by implementing further segmentation of Cisco's enterprise customer coverage models.
Before joining Cisco, Sherriff had a 20-year career with Hewlett-Packard in various customer-facing roles including sales, executive sales management, and professional services for the Asia Pacific region. He lived with his family in Hong Kong for five years and focused on growth in China and other countries in the region. In his last role at Hewlett-Packard, Sherriff served as Vice President and General Manager of HP Consulting with global responsibility for all of HP's professional services.
Recognition of Sherriff's leadership has included being named one of the 2010 Top 25 Channel Mavericks by CRN.
Sherriff holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of California, Irvine.
