As Executive Advisor, Rick Justice works directly with Cisco Chairman and CEO John Chambers on people and organizational strategy. He also acts as a mentor to Cisco's senior leadership team.
Justice has been a member of Cisco's senior leadership team since joining the company as Senior Vice President for the Americas in 1996. Prior to becoming Executive Advisor upon his retirement in 2009, his role was Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations and Business Development, overseeing an organization of more than 20,000 sales, systems engineering, and operations employees.
Prior to Cisco, Justice spent 22 years with Hewlett-Packard. His HP career spanned various sales and marketing leadership roles, including a three-year assignment in Hong Kong leading HP's Asia Pacific Operations. In his final role at HP, he led the worldwide enterprise sales organization.
Justice holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University and master's degree in business administration from Stanford University. He is a member of the Santa Clara University Board of Trustees and the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council.
