As Vice President of Cisco's Asia Operations, Chris Khang oversees Cisco's operations in Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Indochina. Based in Singapore, Mr. Khang reports directly to Mr. Owen Chan, President of Asia Pacific. Prior to this role, Mr. Khang was Vice President of North Asia Operations, overseeing operations in Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines and Indochina. He also served previously in the capacity of Vice President of Sales Operations for Cisco in Asia Pacific, which included the Technology and Business Solutions groups, Marketing, Training, Inside Sales and Global Accounts. Before joining Cisco Systems, Mr. Khang was General Manager, Enterprise Systems Group for Hewlett-Packard in Korea. Prior to HP's merger with Compaq, Mr. Khang was Compaq's Managing Director of Korean Operations and, before that, he served with Tandem Computers as Regional Managing Director for East Asia Operations based in Hong Kong. Mr. Khang started his career in the information technology industry with IBM in 1984. Mr. Khang holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Seoul National University and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at M.I.T. in the United States. |
