Tom Cheong is the Managing Director for Cisco's Singapore and Brunei operations. He is responsible for all of Cisco's sales, marketing and channels activities in the two countries. With over 22 years of experience in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, Cheong joins Cisco at an important juncture as the company transitions toward becoming the provider of enriched communications for organisations of all sizes. He reports directly to Chris Khang, Cisco's Vice President of Asia. Cheong was previously the vice president and managing director for Avaya's ASEAN region. Prior to that, he held senior management roles in organisations such as Lucent Technologies and Telecom Equipment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singtel. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and completed the Advanced Management Program with INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. |
