Young-Jin Son is the Country Manager of Cisco Systems Korea. With over 20 years experience in the information technology industry, he has accumulated important skills including a global business perspective, leadership, customer relationship, and keen business insight. Prior to joining Cisco, Son was the country manager of Microsoft Korea. During his time at Microsoft, he was highly respected for his leadership, exceeding his performance targets, enhancing individual employees' capability and team work, and motivating the workforce. Before his country manager role, Son helped Microsoft to solidify its leadership position in the enterprise space as managing director of the company's Enterprise Business Division. He started his career in information technology industry as a Personnel Specialist for IBM Korea in 1983. Son has also worked at companies like Compaq (Hewlett-Packard) Korea and Sun Microsystems Korea and assumed several leadership roles as country manager for Data General, BMC and Gupta/Centura. Son holds a bachelor of arts in German Linguistics from Seoul National University. |
