@Work And Its Technology Partners Launch National Seminar Series To Educate Business Leaders On The Shift To Broadband Technology
Together with Cisco, AT&T, RedCreek, NorthPoint, Exodus and Cambridge Technology Partners, @Work offers the most comprehensive end-to-end Broadband solution set available for businesses
REDWOOD CITY, CA, -- October 27, 1998 -- @Work, the business-focused division of @Home Network (Nasdaq: ATHM) and leading provider of commercial broadband internetworking solutions, today announced that it is teaming up with its technology partners to create an authoritative source of information on Broadband networks for businesses. Together with industry leaders Cisco Systems, AT&T, RedCreek Communications, NorthPoint Communications, Exodus Communications, and Cambridge Technology Partners, @Work will present an eight-city Broadband Seminar Series promoting the new era of affordable, "always on," high-speed internetworking solutions. The seminar series will also demonstrate how the shift to Broadband will fundamentally alter user behavior, business-to-consumer and business-to-business online channels, and corporate network infrastructure planning.
Targeted to business leaders responsible for making critical technology choices for their organizations, the series is designed to help attendees understand the changes and implications of the current evolution toward Broadband networks. Attendees will hear directly from experts at the top companies in today's internetworking market, and will have the opportunity to evaluate Broadband options such as cable (HFC), digital subscriber loop (DSL) and traditional leased lines. In addition, attendees will be able to see how @Work's collaborative and end-to-end solutions address an organization's network infrastructure requirements such as network security, server hosting and outsourcing application requirements.
Participants can choose from either a morning or afternoon seminar in each city. After an 8:00 a.m. breakfast, the morning seminar begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 11:30 a.m. The afternoon session opens with lunch at 1:00 p.m. and runs from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The dates and locations are as follows:
