Translations to Maximize Student Impact

Cisco Networking Academy is committed to making its curricula and documentation accessible and usable-and it shows in many of the features included in the CCNA Discovery and CCNA Exploration curricula.
To maximize the potential impact of the Networking Academy curricula on helping students achieve their goals, Cisco has aligned its global translation strategy with the six United Nations languages: Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Russian, French, English, and Arabic.
These six languages are spoken by approximately 50 percent of the world's population. Translation of the CCNA curricula is expected to improve student outcomes by facilitating learning success.
Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Russian, and French versions of the CCNA curricula have been released over the past six to nine months and were received with great enthusiasm. Nearly 12,000 students are currently enrolled in a translated version of these courses. The Arabic version is planned for release at a later date.
Juan Carlos Spichiger, a secondary school instructor at Fundación Red de Academias Digitales in Chile is excited about CCNA Discovery. "We are already using the Spanish version," says Spichiger. "The translation is very successful. My students like the labs and activities most of all and I feel they really facilitate the student learning process."
