Cisco Systems Completes Acquisition of Twingo Systems
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 20, 2004 - Cisco Systems, Inc., today announced it has completed the acquisition of privately-held Twingo Systems of Mountain View, Calif.
On March 12, 2004, Cisco announced a definitive agreement to acquire Twingo, a leading provider of desktop security solutions for Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). This acquisition advances Cisco's leadership in providing secure connectivity solutions and further enhances Cisco's Self Defending Network strategy of deploying proactive, self-defending, and self-healing networks, and building advanced security into the network infrastructure.
