Cisco Systems Completes Acquisition of Combinet, Inc.

San Jose, Calif., October 2, 1995 - Cisco Systems Inc. today announcedthe completion of its agreement to purchase Combinet Inc., a leading makerof ISDN remote-access networking products. The acquisition follows anagreement signed August 10,1995, under which Cisco agreed to acquire alloutstanding stock and assume all outstanding employee stock options andwarrants of Combinet. The acquisition is already broadening Cisco'sofferings for small office and residential users, particularly in thefast-growing area of telecommuting. Combinet's management, employees andproduct line are now part of Cisco's Access Business Unit, headed by VicePresident and General Manager Don Listwin.

Combinet, founded in 1988, employs 100 persons, most of them at thecompany's headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA.
